Hosting (GitHub Pages)

This website is hosted by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, as a “GitHub Pages” site. When you open the page, GitHub processes technically necessary data in server logs, in particular your device's IP address. The purpose is to deliver the page and to keep operation stable and secure. We ourselves have no access to these logs.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably.

Transfer to the USA: GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and additionally offers Standard Contractual Clauses as a safeguard. GitHub determines how long the logs are retained; for details, see GitHub's privacy statement: https://docs.github.com/privacy

No Cookies, No External Resources

This website sets no cookies and embeds no external fonts, scripts, or trackers – all resources (stylesheet, images, icons) are served from the same server. That is also why you will not find a cookie banner here: there is nothing to consent to.

Links to App Stores (Google Play, Amazon Appstore)

Pages on this website link to the Google Play Store and the Amazon Appstore. The store badges are hosted on our own server; a link is only followed when you click it – no data is transmitted to Google or Amazon beforehand, and in particular this website loads nothing from their servers. Once you follow a link, the respective provider processes data as its own controller, which is outside our influence; the privacy policies of Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Amazon (https://www.amazon.de/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201909010) apply.

Contacting Us

If you write to us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message solely in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract or its preparation is involved, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry). We delete your message once the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Our email mailbox is provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen (Germany); a data processing agreement is in place with them.

No Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated individual decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).

Your Rights as a Data Subject

The GDPR grants you, among others, the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77).

Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR: Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – which applies to the server logs created when this website is accessed and to handling your email enquiries – you have the right to object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms.

Please note that we have no access to the server logs ourselves – for those, GitHub is the right addressee.

If you have any questions about data protection, you can reach us at any time at: kontakt@remindery.de

Changes to This Privacy Policy
