Terms of Use – Remindery: Shopping List
Version 2026-10-07
These rules apply as soon as you share a list in the Remindery: Shopping List app or join a shared list. If you only keep your own, unshared lists on your own device, they do not affect you. How your data is processed is set out separately in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptance
Before you share for the first time and before you join for the first time, the app shows a notice: by tapping "Continue" you accept these rules. If the version changes (see "Changes"), the app shows the notice again before your next share or join. If you do not want to accept the rules, do not tap "Continue"; you can keep using your own lists without restriction.
Your responsibility
In a shared list, the other members see what you write: list name, items, quantities, notes, and your display name. You are responsible for that content.
What is not allowed
The following are prohibited in list names, items, notes, and display names:
- unlawful content and calls to commit crimes,
- insults, threats, harassment, and bullying,
- hate speech and glorification of violence,
- sexual content; any sexualised or otherwise endangering reference to children and young people,
- fraud, spam, and advertising,
- personal data of other people without their consent,
- impersonation, i.e. posing as another person,
- content that infringes copyright or other rights of third parties.
Reporting
In the app you can report any member of a shared list, optionally with a short explanation. Non-members can also report a violation: by email to kontakt@remindery.de (German or English), ideally saying where and what you noticed.
Moderation
There is no automatic content screening. A human – the provider – reviews reports promptly. In doing so, the provider sees the reported member's entries in the affected list. Possible measures: removing the member from the list and blocking their device from that list. Where there is a danger to life or limb or a suspicion of serious crime, we may inform the competent authorities. We can only tell you the outcome of a report if you give us your email address; an in-app report alone gives us no contact details.
Removal by the creator
Whoever shared a list (the creator) can remove other members from it. Every member can leave the list at any time.
Consequences
A removed member keeps an unshared, local copy of the list on their own device – nothing is lost. The device cannot rejoin the list afterwards; the previous join code becomes invalid in the process. We cannot technically detect an uninstall and reinstall of the app, so the block applies to the device as it was, not as a permanent ban of a person.
No entitlement to the sharing service
Sharing lists is a voluntary additional service. There is no entitlement to it being available at all times or permanently. A shared list is deleted automatically once the last member leaves it or nobody has used it for 180 days. Local copies on the devices are unaffected.
Changes
We adjust these rules when the app or the legal requirements change. The new version gets a new date and is published in the app and on the website; the app shows it again for acceptance before your next share or join.
Contact
We accept questions, reports, and notices at kontakt@remindery.de; this is also our point of contact for users and authorities under the Digital Services Act (German and English).
